Granfondo Ezaro scored another participants’ record with 1500 riders attending the 2019 edition on challenging Galician roads with three mayor climbs on the slightly updated 150km course. The 85km short course skips the south loop and one of the climbs.

Niseko Classic with new participants’ record

The 6th edition of Niseko Classic, the 4th as official qualifier event in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series was again a big success with road races sold out months before the event and a time trial added as qualifier event this year. A total of more than 1500 riders attended the events.

The Japanese qualifier event in Niseko on the Hokkaido Island has grown significantly in recent years and will be sold out for the second year in a row. Last year, only the long distance had to close registrations earlier, but now also the shorter distance had been sold out a few weeks before the event. Only the time trial has some places left.

Blue Mountains Granfondo doubled in size

On Saturday June 15th, the Blue Mountains Gran Fondo (BMGF) took place starting and ending in the lovely town of Thornbury, Ontario. For a fifth consecutive year the BMGF was the sole Canadian qualifier event for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championship. Rainy and cool conditions did not deter the 600 participants from enjoying the quiet roads and scenic views of this charming region. The event was divided into three groups.

The sixth edition of the Blue Mountains Granfondo, the fifth one as a UCI Gran Fondo qualifier takes place this weekend in Ontaria, Canada on updated courses compared to last year.

Maraton Franja with a 38-year tradition

The Slovenian qualifier event in the capital city of Ljubljana is one of the oldest Granfondos in the world with a tradition going back to the early ’80s and also a very successful World Championships organization in 2014.
