66 Degrés Sud proved to be a great new event on scenic courses this past weekend in Perpignan (France) with almost 1000 riders registering for the time trial, granfondo, mediofondo or cyclosportive.

The 2022 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will this year take place in Trento, Italy from 15-18 September. The website and details of the courses and program have now been released by the organizers and can be consulted on their website.

After Austria last week, also France will have a new qualifier event in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series with a mountain time trial today and a challenging granfondo and mediofondo on Saturday at the border of France and Spain.

The 30th edition of the Neusiedlersee Radmarathon scored a new participants record with 1700 riders taking part in the two disciplines over the weekend. The riders represented 32 different countries at the start.

Almost 1500 riders from 32 different nationalities have signed up for the new qualifier event on flat and fast roads around the Neusiedlersee lake in the Southeast of Austria for this weekend.

The only Southamerican qualifier event in the series who was scheduled to take place in two weeks will now move to 20-22 May.
