Tour de Bintan back as qualifier next month

The Tour de Bintan, the race on the Indonesian island next to Singapore who was a qualifier event since 2017 has not been organized in the past two years because of covid, but will now appear back on the calendar on 14-16 October.

The race will have its traditional 17km time trial on Friday, a 130-140km granfondo on Saturday and a non-qualifier road race on Sunday, all counting for a general ranking over the three days. The races on Friday and Saturday also count as qualifier events for next year’s UCI Gran Fond World Championships in Scotland.

Tour de Bintan is a very exotic event on the holiday island of Bintan, at the doorstep of Singapore where riders often combine the event with some holidays in one of the many holidays resorts on the island. The race is on undulating roads, but climbs are never very long nor steep.
