The second edition of the Tre Valli Varesine, the Granfondo between the Italian lakes has proved to be a great candidate to run Worlds next year end of August and early September.
Dubai has also renewed their presence in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series 2018 calendar. The Dubai First Gran Fondo will be held on 15 December 2017 as qualifier for Varese 2018 and is part of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge Weekend.
This weekend, Varese will host the second edition of their Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine and a test-event for the World Championships of 2018.
The 7th edition of the biggest Australian Granfondo who takes place every year along the Great Ocean Road with start and finish in Lorne had again a big peloton of riders at the start. Almost 5000 riders showed up for one of the 4 distances on offer from which the longest 120k course is the official qualifier.

With start and finish at lake Malta in the beautiful city of Poznan, the 4th edition of Poznan Bike Challenge was again a success. It has quickly become the biggest amateur cycling event in Poland and in the eastern part of Europe. Despite the rain cycling enthusiasts were still keen on qualifying for Varese in this first qualifier event of the 2017-2018 season.
