The race weekend was well filled with a time trial on Thursday including the Oceania Championships, a criterium on Friday, Oceania?s Road Race Championships on Saturday and the national road series for elites and granfondo on Sunday next to a Festival Expo over the whole weekend.

The 2023 edition of Gran Fondo Cyprus was again a very successful event after two covid years and the post corona edition of last year. More than 500 riders from 39 different countries finally signed up enjoying the great weather and Cypriot hospitality during the three days stage race around Paphos.

The UCI Granfondo in Cyprus is organised as a stage race over three days and is part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series since 2017. Almost 500 riders have signed up representing 39 different countries.

With a time trial on Thursday and a granfondo road race on Sunday, the 2023 edition of the Tour de Brisbane promises to be another big success which offers a great experience to the 6300 riders who have signed up to ride the city centre of Australia?s third largest city. 5000 of them will ride the granfondo on Sunday.

The first ever UCI Cycling World Championships, combining all the cycling disciplines in one location with over 200 rainbow jerseys to be awarded will take place this summer in Scotland between August 3rd and 13th. Also Granfondo will for the first time be part of these World Championships.
