Lowden and Allen in time trial while Van Dyck and Proud take road race of last Tour of Cambridgeshire

In the 16 miles time trial, Will Lowden was the overall fastest in a time of 33m04 and an average speed of 29 miles/h (46.7 km/h) to win with a 12 seconds gap to Simon Wilson and 48 seconds to Alex Doherty.

Kate Allen won the female time trial in a time of 36m36 and an average speed of 26.2 miles/h (42,2 km/h) before Jennifer George and reigning F19 World Champion Jessica Rhodes Jones by respectively 1m 10 and 1m51.

On Sunday, the 66 miles road race and granfondo started in different waves with licensed riders split up with the unlicensed participants. Belgian Wesley Van Dyck had a small gap at the finish line towards a group of 4 beating Lindsay Watson and George Sponer by 9 seconds.

The female win on the same course was for Emily Proud who won the sprint of a large peloton of 33 female riders before Mary Wilkinson and Hildegunn Solli from Norway.
