Utah Granfondo finished with a large peloton sprint

The 2022 edition of the Utah Granfondo in Logan, UT finished with a large peloton sprinting for overall win. Some 75 riders from 28 US States and 9 different countries competed together for the majority of the race and together sprinted for victory at the Green Canyon High School.

35 year-old Clinton Mortley showed his fast legs winning the 76 miles race in an average speed of 25.2 mph before Brian Zimny (M45-49) and John Mansell (M55-59). 81 year old Augustini, Carmen from BC Canada impressed all riders with a strong #1 in the 80+ category.

Two women also reached the finish line in that same big group with 39 year old Nina Wade outsprinting her compatriot Spring Bastow (F35-39) for the overall female win of the day. Shane Ellis (F50-54) got in third 7 minutes later to take overall bronze.
