The Portuguese round of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, originally scheduled to take place from 28 February to 1 March in Coimbra, has officially been relocated and rescheduled. Due to municipal and strategic changes in the Coimbra and Montemor‑o‑Velho regions, the organizers have announced that the event will now be held in the nearby Leiria region on 28–29 March, under its new name: “Granfondo Leiria Region – Sicó Lands.”
The revised program includes a time trial on 28 March between Leiria and Praia do Pedrógão and the granfondo on 29 March starting in Pombal, reflecting a refreshed regional setting while maintaining the event’s high standards of quality and experience. Course details for both distances are still being finalized and will be communicated soon by the organizers.
