Mediterranean Cycling in Rhodes Gran Fondo Tour

The second edition of the Rhodes Gran Fondo Tour with two road races and a time trial will take place this weekend on the scenic Greek Island of Rhodes.

The organizers decided this year to change the order of the three different events with the time trial moving to the last day for a possible exciting final in the overall ranking.

The road race on Friday is directly the hardest stage with a 94km round trip and a difficult middle part with a climb towards 624m above sea level.

The second stage on Saturday has a start loop towards a local 19k lap which must be done 4 times before returning to Rhodes city for the finish. Total distance is 113km. It’s a more rolling circuit with 138m above sea level as highest point.

The decisive time trial on the final day will have two loops along the seaside with splendid views over the beaches. Total distance is 20.5km.

The Greek UCI qualifier can traditionally count on a lot of different nationalities at the start with riders from all over the world enjoying the Greek sun and hospitality with a race during their bike holidays.
