Italians get a final chance to qualify at the Leggendaria Charly Gaul

With the World Championships in 8 weeks in their home-country, Italian riders get a final chance to qualify in Trento this weekend.

The courses are classical stopovers in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series since 2012 with a very successful World Championships back in 2013. The time trial on Friday is often considered as the most beautiful time trial course in the series with start and finish in Cavedine and a beautiful passage through the Valley of the Lakes. Total distance is 24km.

The Granfondo on Sunday is tough with a double climb of the famous Monte Bondone for all riders up to the age of 50 and a shorter course with one climb to the top of the 22km long mountain for the older riders.

The Italian federation agreed with the amateur federations ACSI, CSAIN, CSI and UISP that their licenses will also be accepted to participate in the Varese World Championships.
