Granfondo Moscow rescheduled to 14-15 August while Greece and Korea need to be cancelled

The organizers of Granfondo Moscow had postponed their event already twice because of the Covid-19 pandemic going from May to July and now to 14-15 August.

The race will also be held outside the city in a place called Vereja, 120 west of the city for a more safe organization in corona times. The time trial will be a back and forth loop of 24km on mainly flat roads on Saturday. The Granfondo on Sunday has the same start and finish and will either do one 62km loop for the men 60+ and women 55+ while all younger males and females do the same lap twice for a total distance of 118km. The Granfondo has some minor hills but is also mainly flat.

The event is scheduled on the same weekend as the test event for Worlds in Istocno Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The road races who had initially been scheduled over two days will be combined on Sunday in the qualifier. The plans for the World Championships remain the same with mediofondo and granfondo spread over two separate days.

Granfondo Greece (Aristoteles Chalkidiki Granfondo) and Around Samcheok in Korea unfortunately have to cancel their event as local authorities decided that it was impossible to hold the event this year.
