Granfondo Denmark courses revealed

After the very successful UWCT Final in Aalborg and Hobro in 2015, the UCI Gran Fondo World Series are coming back with a break of one year to Denmark with a new Danish qualifier in Holbaek. The city is situated on the Danish island of Seeland, one hour west of the capital city of Copenhagen.

Riders will have the chance to qualify for the World Championships in a 25km time trial on Saturday and a Mediofondo or Granfondo of respectively 121 and 173 km.

The time trial is an out-and-back loop over mainly flat roads. The two road races have the same first part with an additional loop to the north for the Granfondo over undulating roads.

Granfondo Denmark is the last qualifier of the season, giving riders the last opportunity to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in the French city of Albi.
