Forrest Grape Ride through New Zealand’s vineyards

The Forrest Grape Ride is New Zealand's second biggest cycling event and number one on the South Island with a 101km circuit through some of the most stunning scenery New Zealand has to offer.

The race goes through New Zealand’s renowned wine region with the award winning winery of Forrest Wines in Renwick as start and finish location.

Last year and unless the bad weather the event attracted some 2000 riders, all keen to qualify for the World Championships who took place in nearby Perth at that time.

The region suffered from the Kaikoura earthquakes south of Marlborough but the race course is not damaged.

Marlborough is situated in the north of the South Island of New Zealand, 4h north of Christchurch or 3h by ferry from Wellington.
