Cyprus Granfondo offers a unique cycling and tourism experience this weekend

The 10th edition of the Cyprus Granfondo this weekend centralised in Paphos and the surrounding area has a unique concept with an amateur stage race containing a time trial and two granfondos.

The 28km time trial today is held on a back-and-forth course going towards a turning point at the highest peak on the course halfway.

The main challenge comes tomorrow with a 103km race from which 87km is timed and a 89km mediofondo (69km timed) for the men over 60 and women over 50.

On Sunday, the final stage brings riders over a 59km distance (41km timed) and 50km distance (32 timed) before making up the final ranking.

Cyprus Granfondo has always been a very international event with also this year 37 different nationalities at the start amongst the 400 participants.  Ex pro rider Olga Zabelinskaya will attend next to reigning  Granfondo World Champion Nicola Loda and 2023 World Champion Wojciech Szcepanik.
