Cyprus Granfondo first European event in 2017 in the series

More than 360 riders signed up for a three days? stage race on the sunny Cypriot island in and around the touristic city of Paphos. The event grew more than 50 percent compared to last year with a much higher number of foreigners, especially a lot of Russian riders.

The first stage on Friday will be a time trial of 28km with an out and back loop on the same road.  The first part is slightly going uphill before returning for an easier second part.

Day 2 on Saturday will be the hardest stage.  After a neutralized start, riders will go in the mountains for a total of 90km with a first challenging part towards an altitude over 800 meter before turning back with a large loop to Kouklia where the finish is located.

Day 3 is again challenging, but over a shorter 63km distance with again a neutralized start to get out of Paphos.
