In the 17km time trial on Friday, we saw Boon Kiak Yeo (19-34 – SGP) taking the overall male win in a time of 23m11, 3 seconds ahead of Francois Balland (35-39 ? SGP) who had the fastest time at the turning point while Matthew Brittain (35-39 ? SGP) got overall third at 29 seconds. The average speed of Kiak Yeo was 42.5 km/h. The female time trial was for Ava Woo (19-34 ? SGP) in a time of 28m24 and an average speed of 34.5km/h, 29 seconds faster than Jennifer Choi (35-39 ? UNI) and Faye Foo (35-39 ? SGP).
On Saturday, riders had a 138km Gran Fondo which counted for all age groups and gender to qualify for the 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.
The top 2 of the male time trial was also the top two of the granfondo with Kiak Yeo renewing his win before Balland with this time Calvin Sim (19-34 ? SGP) as overall third in a sprint with 3.
The women had this year the same distance due to road construction works with 5 females sprinting for the overall win at the end of the challenging race. Faye Foo could this time take the overall win before time trial winner Ava Woo with Long Xin Cheon (19-34 ? SGP) in third.
On Sunday, there was another 113km Granfondo counting for the GC but not for qualification for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.
