The weekend started on Saturday with the hill climb, a short 4.2km mountain time trial with finish on top of Mount Panorama. 200 riders signed up to qualify with Michael Potter (30.2 km/h average) scoring the fastest overall time to win his 19-34 age group before Ben Dyball and Cameron Roberts, all from the youngest age group.
Fastest female was Katie Banerjee (F45-49), seconds ahead of Simone Grounds (F40-44) and Renee Everett (F19-34) to take the overall win in an average speed of 23.5km/h.
The Road Race on Sunday received 1836 participants for a 110 or 70km event. Starts were given in waves with the overall fastest time for John Peppard (M45-49) who outsprinted Mitch Dixon and Sean Brunt in the 110km qualifying distance.
All females started together in one wave with Georgia Whitehouse (F19-34) winning the sprint before Gina Ricardo (F19-34) and time trial winner Katie Banerjee who won her 45-49 age group.
The event grew above 2000 participants which was again a new record.
