The Sudety Tour delivered a full weekend of racing across Poland and Czechia, combining a tight mountain time trial in Radków with a demanding cross-border Granfondo starting and finishing in Broumov the next day.
Close margins in Saturday’s Radków time trial
Saturday’s 10.6km individual time trial set the tone for the weekend, with extremely small gaps in both categories.
In the men’s race, junior Jakub Walis clocked 22:34 (28.17 km/h) to take the fastest time by just 2 seconds over Karol Sladek, while Adam Starzyński secured third place at 14 seconds.
The women’s event was equally tight. Adela Koclířová proved strongest in 25:50 (24.49 km/h), finishing 7 seconds ahead of Agata Świątek, with Martyna Wiśniewska completing the podium at 18 seconds.
Koclířová confirms dominance in Sunday’s Granfondo
On Sunday, riders faced a completely different challenge with the Granfondo starting and finishing in Broumov (CZE), crossing into Poland over a hilly 147km course in the Sudeten mountains.
After her narrow win in the time trial, Adela Koclířová (CZE) left no doubt about her condition by taking the victory in the women’s Granfondo. She opened a decisive gap and crossed the line with an advantage of almost nine minutes over Maria Legaszewska (POL). Agata Świątek (POL), second the day before, secured another podium finish in third place.
Miazga fastest in sprint finish among men
The men’s race came down to a 2-men finish after a hard day in the saddle. Jan Miazga (POL) powered to victory at an impressive average speed of 39.3 km/h, winning hand-in-hand with teammate Artur Sowiński (POL). Just behind, Patryk Krajewski (POL) completed an all-Polish podium, finishing 12 seconds later after the decisive move had already formed.
