66 Degrés Sud is the new brand for the region which expresses Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole’s desire to become even more attractive with major outdoor events.
A tourist and economic attractiveness strategy that begins with this event, “the cyclotourist” which announces a larger event in 2022, “the cyclosportive”. Cycling will indeed be a strong theme this summer with the Tour de France which will stop on July 11 in Céret.
Our territory is a varied open-air playground … 66 Degrès Sud « the Cyclo » opens the way, other outdoor events will follow in emblematic areas

Course sur route
Le parcours de l’épreuve 66 Degrés Sud aura un nouveau parcours par rapport à l’année dernière. Le parcours se déplacera désormais à Rivesaltes au nord de Perpignan où se situent les nouveaux départ et arrivée.
Granfondo
Le nouveau parcours de l’édition 2024 de 66 Degrés Sud est plus dur que les deux premières éditions puisque le dénivelé total montera jusqu’à 2686m (1788 en 2023) avec notamment le Col de Roque Jalere (988m) au milieu de la course comme défi plus dur sur le parcours.
Après le départ de Rivesaltes, les coureurs effectuent une boucle vers le nord avant de se diriger vers l’ouest dans la campagne. Les 60 premiers kilomètres comportent quelques collines mineures d’une longueur maximale de 4 km et d’une pente maximale de 5 %.
Le premier véritable défi est le Col de Roque Jalere au départ de la commune de Sournia pour un défi de 8km à 6,1% de moyenne avec des parties jusqu’à 10%. Après la descente, le parcours repart vers l’est en direction de Perpignan avec une autre montée exigeante depuis le lac de Vinça vers la ville d’Arboussols (4km à 8,3% de moyenne).
Après avoir traversé la rivière Têt au km127, une montée de 10,2km à 5,6% de moyenne est le dernier défi de la journée avant les 50 derniers km qui sont majoritairement plats vers l’arrivée.
Le parcours Granfondo compte comme distance de qualification pour les hommes 19-59.
Mediofondo
Le parcours plus court de 139 km utilise une grande partie de la première moitié du parcours granfondo, mais saute la montée du Col de Roque Jalere pour revenir à l’arrivée. La montée la plus dure du parcours se fait lors du raccourci dans la commune de Trévilach où le parcours atteint une altitude de 620m, soit une montée de 9,6km à 3,4% de moyenne.
Le dénivelé total sur les 139 km est de 1660 m.
Le parcours mediofondo compte comme distance de qualification pour toutes les catégories femmes et les hommes 60+.
Contre-la-montre
Le contre-la-montre démarre depuis la commune de Cases de Pène, au nord-ouest de Perpignan. Il s’agit d’un contre-la-montre exigeant de 19 km avec une première montée de 3 km à 4,7 % de moyenne. Après la descente et passant par le village de Tautavel, les derniers 5,5km vers l’arrivée remontent à nouveau à 4,1% de moyenne en passant par la commune de Vingrau pour finir à 285m d’altitude.
