UCI Granfondo Brasil decided in sprints

The second edition of the Brazilian qualifier event in Pomerode in the Santa Catarina State was a great event.

In the 120km Granfondo with 1239m of elevation, Luan Carlos Rodrigues Silva outsprinted his compatriot Luis Henrique Flauzino in a sprint with 2, finishing with a small 25 second gap to a large group of 15 riders from which Luiz Fernando Bomfim de Almeida was the fastest.

The average speed of Rodrigues Silva winning was 41,67 km/h.

The female race was won by Bruna Strube Lima, also winning in the sprint against Paula Sune Pfeifer Santanna and Ruti Dos Reis Pereira in an average speed of 35,68 km/h.  The three finished 10 minutes ahead of all the other women.

In the 80km mediofondo, counting as qualifier for the men over 60 and women over 50, the men’s victory in the categories going for qualification was for Alexandre Alvares with Silvia Riberio Nardi Sanchez being the first women to qualify.  Their respective average speed was 37,42 and 34,16 km/h.
