The 8th edition of the Northern Italian UCI Gran Fondo in between the Lakes of Lago di Lugano, Lago Maggiore and Lago di Varese has become a classic early autumn in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.

The 2024 edition, already counting as qualifier event for the 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships has almost 3000 riders in the granfondo and 250 riders in the time trial, making this a record edition in the 8 years the events exist.

The courses remain the same as in the past with a 22km time trial on Saturday towards a turning point halfway in Ganna going slightly up in the first half to come back over the same road towards the finish.

On Sunday, the granfondo is 127km with 1990m of elevation while older categories can battle for their qualification for the World Championships in a shorter mediofondo of 101km totalling 1500m of elevation skipping the section along the Lago Maggiore!
