Varese opens 2022 season

Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine is this year scheduled one week before the 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships after the many covid postponements earlier this year.

The organizer of the most successful UCI Gran Fondo World Championships ever back in 2018 will again be a qualifier and counts as first event for the 2022 World Championships in Trento next year.

1700 riders have signed up for the event which is a big success in these difficult corona times.

Riders have the same courses then those used during the world championships with a 22km time trial on Saturday and a 103/130km mediofondo or granfondo on Sunday with some steep but shorter climbs to finally finish back in Varese with a tough last few kilometres to the finish line.
