Tour de Brisbane postponed

A recent increase in infections and lockdown in Queensland and the risk of having a huge mass participation event with thousands of spectators in a city center made the organizers of Tour of Brisbane decide to not hold the event next weekend.

The covid situation in Australia has for a long time been pretty much under control if you compare it to the rest of the World, but a recent increase in infections and lockdown last week made the different stakeholders decide that the risk of holding the event next weekend would be too high.

The event is now postponed and will most likely be rescheduled to July (date to be confirmed). All registrations will automatically be transferred to the new event’s date.
