Registrations for Worlds go over 1000

With recently 8 events in 5 weekends time, a lot of riders are getting registered for the World Championships in Albi. Registrations went over 1000 today.

231 riders have signed up for the time trial while 812 are registered for the Granfondo World Championships. The most represented nation is actually the UK with 288 registered riders before Australia (226), France (136), Belgium (59) and New Zealand (50). Also USA (36) Germany (26) and Switzerland are well represented.

Amongst the participants, we see riders from non-traditional cycling countries like Bulgaria, Indonesia, Israel, Costa Rica, Lebanon and Roumania. Riders from 38 different nationalities have already signed up.

Riders who haven’t qualified yet still have three chances. First to come is La Leggendaria Charly Gaul in Trento, Italy on 7-9 July. The same weekend also hosts the Japanese qualifier Niseko Classic (9 July). Last chance is Granfondo Denmark on 12 and 13 August in Holbaek.
