The hot weather conditions and longer course had an effect on the type of race as the speed was much slower in the beginning. Riders seemed to be afraid of the distance and heat.
The fastest overall time on the 100 miles was for Latvian Evalds Pavlovs who outsprinted Belgian Angelo Vandaele in the fastest M19-34 start wave. George Fox finished third two minutes later.
Victoria Collins (F45-49) beated a lot of her younger opponents in the 67 miles women qualifying distance. Alison Lilley (F50-54) and Jayne Paine (F50-54) completed the podium.
Jim Moffatt (M60-64) was the fastest male on the 67 miles course, 3 minutes ahead of Keith Bridges and Robert Leader who won his 65-69 age group. The traditional crowded time trial on Saturday had Polish Piotr Klin as overall winner in an average speed of 29.3 Mph, beating Matthew Smith and John Wingfield by respectively 14 and 42 seconds.
Former World Champion Jessica Rhodes Jones was the fastest female over the 16 miles course, 16 seconds faster than Faye Faber and 1m15 than Stephanie Post.
