Granfondo Denmark last chance to qualify

The city of Holbaek in Denmark gives riders this weekend the last chance to qualify themselves for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in two weeks in Albi, France.

Almost 700 riders from 22 different countries have preregistered for the time trial on Saturday and the Granfondo on Sunday. The 24.5km time trial has an out-and-back loop starting in the city center and heading towards Rye for the turning point. It’s a time trial on undulating roads but never steep.

The Granfondo on Sunday has two different courses. The 177km is the qualifying distance for all men up to the age of 59 while all women and men above 60 have to qualify in the 124km mediofondo. It’s still possible to sign up online today or on spot during the event. Riders who qualify can register for the World Championships until to the 19th of August.
