Cyprus Granfondo opens European season

With a time-trial on Friday and two road races on Saturday and Sunday, 430 preregistered riders from 30 different countries will compete in the first European qualifier event from 2018.

The 28.6km time trial on the first day is an out-and-back loop starting from 77m above sea level with a turning point halfway 308m above the sea. The first upgoing part is then followed by an easier second half back to the finish.

The 89km road race on Saturday starts near the castle in Pafos for a neutralized start towards Kouklia where the official start is given. This stage is the hardest day of the 3 days stage race with more than 1600m of climbing towards 900m above sea level.

The final day has a shorter 65km course but still some climbing before finishing in Tsada.

The 430 participants establish another 20% growth compared to last year, all enjoying the hospitality and nice weather in this holiday destination where you can combine the event with a bike training camp.
