Amy’s Granfondo starts the 2023 qualifier season this weekend

With the 2022 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships coming up next week, riders in Australia already have the option to qualify for the 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships to be held in Scotland next year early August in the first qualifier of the season.

The race, already part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series since the first year in 2011, will have its traditional course starting from Lorne along the Great Ocean Road to attack the climb to Benwerrin with the top after 11km (445m above sea level).

The rest of the 130km course winds through the Otways range with up and down going roads to the highest point after 75km (Mount Sabine, 555m), followed by a long descent towards the Great Ocean Road for the last 45km towards the finish back in Lorne.

3700 riders have preregistered for the different distances.
