Amy’s Granfondo for Tynon Shannon and Jenny Pettenon

The first qualifier event of the season, traditionally in Australia on the Great Ocean Road hosted almost 4000 riders in the different disciplines and distances over the weekend with gravel races, a family ride and two road distances from which the 130km race was the qualifier distance for the 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

The overall victory at the end in Lorne was for Tynon Shannon who outsprinted his compatriots Louis Perriman and Chris Hargreaves in a sprint of 3, all from the first wave of M19-34 riders

First female was Jenny Pettenon (F45-49) who beated a lot of her overall opponents. Imola Giusti (F19-34) and Emma Padovan (F40-44) completed the podium to all win their respective age groups.

The average speed on the hilly course for boh winners was respectively 38.5km/h and 35km/h.
