5000 riders to attend Tour de Brisbane

With a time trial on Thursday and a granfondo road race on Sunday, the 2023 edition of the Tour de Brisbane promises to be another big success which offers a great experience to the 6300 riders who have signed up to ride the city centre of Australia?s third largest city. 5000 of them will ride the granfondo on Sunday.

The time trial on Thursday is held for the second time after a first edition last year and will take place in the Brisbane Koala Bushlands Park in Burbanks, south of the city. The 20 km course has an elevation of 300m and is designed with a back-and-forth loop.

On Sunday, the 113km granfondo offers the best of the city with start at Gregory Terrace and a loop through the different parts of the city. The main difficulty comes after 90k when a 2km steep climb, the Mount Coot Tha with an average gradient of 9% will spread the different groups. The top is at only 16km from the finishline.
