The 7th edition of Schleck GF this past Saturday showed again a great field which was sold out months before the event with 3000 riders at the start.
Austrian former world champion Stefan Kirchmair won the overall men’s race. Kirchmair bridged the gap together with Nicolas Baïolet who both started 3 minutes later in a second startgroup and were part of the big group sprinting for the win at the end of the race. That sprint was won by reigning M19 world champion Lars Van Coppenolle who won his category, but Kirchmair rode the fastest time.
In the female race, Dutch Nora Entius was the fastest female in a big group with 12 women beating Belgian Lieselotte Van Nuffelen with Maroccan Benallal Mallika as overall third.
The race results have had some changes after applying the UCI guntime timing principle.
