Granfondo Asociacion Espanola has concluded its 2025 qualifier season with a new UCI Granfondo event in Uruguay. The race attracted approximately 2000 riders from 10 different countries.
Sebastian Tolosa won the men’s overall title in a two-man sprint against Daniel Flores, finishing 35 seconds ahead of a large group of 70 riders. Omar Azzem took third place by winning the sprint from this chasing group.
In the women’s race, Julieta Benedetti was the fastest female, finishing 16th overall and staying with the group of 70 riders. Pamela Itati de la Iglesia secured second place, 1 minute and 16 seconds behind Benedetti, while Barbara Frisch finished third, five minutes later.
Both the top male and female finishers, Sebastian Tolosa and Julieta Benedetti, represented Argentina.
