Baleisyte and Konotop take victory at the 2026 Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge

The 16th edition of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge delivered high‑speed racing and thrilling finales today on Dubai’s iconic, wide‑open roads, as more than 1,700 riders took on the fast 96 km course. With perfect winter conditions and the spectacular backdrop of the iconic city, the event once again proved why it is one of the Middle East’s leading mass‑participation races and a key qualifier in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.

Men’s Race: Konotop wins in a four-men sprint after a fast race

In a tight contested sprint of 4 men, Danil Konotop from Turkey powered to victory in 1:57:36, averaging an impressive 47 km/h on the flat, fast profile. He was closely followed by Marco Lumanog from the Philippines and Rashid Abdulla Suwaidan from the UAE.  British Harrison Webb just missed the podium while the fifth rider who won the big bunch sprint finished just 4 seconds back.

Women’s Race: Baleisyte Leads a dominant Dubai Police Trio

The women’s competition saw Olivija Baleisyte from Lithuania as the strongest finisher, taking the win from the same large peloton that shaped the men’s race dynamics. She crossed the line in the group just behind the top 4 men with Maddison Black (AUS) as second and her compatriot Alina Abramenka as third

The Dubai Police women’s team delivered a remarkably performance, placing four female riders in the top five.
