Dubai Spinneys 92 Cycle Challenge to start the season this weekend
After a very long period without events in wintertime in the northern hemisphere, the UCI Gran Fondo World Series will start the new calendar year with a first event in Dubai this weekend.
2022 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships from 15-18 September
The UCI has decided this past weekend in their management board meeting that the dates for the 2022 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will be from 15-18 September 2022.
Five new events join the UCI Gran Fondo World Series in 2022
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and cycling event organiser Golazo are pleased to announce today the addition of five new events to the UCI Gran Fondo World Series calendar in 2022 plus the return of 8 events that have been part of the series in the past but had to be cancelled in recent years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The circuit will now include 28 events taking place between February and November 2022 in 23 countries and five continents.

Nirvana Granfondo Antalya is a perfect example where riders can enjoy some vacation with a cycling event in a holiday destination as the race is held with start and finish in the middle of the strip full of hotels in Lara, just outside Antalya and only a few kilometers away from the airport in front of the beach.
Gran Fondo Antalya to close the 2021 season
The last qualifier of the year will take place in the holiday destination of Antalya on the Turkish riviera with excellent weather predictions. It will be sunny and 22-24 degrees during the weekend.
Granfondo Coimbra Region a very successful newcomer in the series
Two weeks after the 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Bosnia, more than a thousand riders headed to Portugal for the very first UCI Granfondo Coimbra Region for a time trial on Saturday and a granfondo and mediofondo on Sunday in the beautiful landscapes of Coimbra, a tourist region in the middle between Porto and Lisbon.
