Podlaski and Jehle take victory at 3RIDES Granfondo

The 3RIDES Granfondo, held yesterday in Schweigen‑Rechtenbach in the heart of the German wine country, delivered a demanding and scenic race on a unique 100 km course that briefly crossed into France. Riders faced rolling terrain through vineyards and fast roads on both sides of the border with a total elevation of 600 meters.

Podlaski fastest in tightly contested men’s race

The men’s race was decided by the smallest of margins, with 38‑year‑old Michał Podlaski (POL) taking victory after 2:15:25 of racing over the 100 km distance. The Polish rider edged out Stefan Kirchmair (AUT) by just 6 seconds.  Jürgen Van Trijp (NED) completed the podium, finishing 30 seconds behind the winner. Podlaski’s performance resulted in an impressive average speed of 44.3km/h.

Experience shines in the women’s race

The women’s race saw an equally remarkable performance, with 46‑year‑old Julia Jehle (GER) claiming a convincing victory. The German rider crossed the line with a 50‑second advantage over Lieselotte Van Nuffelen (BEL), while Cynthia Morguet (GER) secured third place a little further back.  Jehle’s average speed was 41.9km/h.
