Soares and Rocha da Silva impress in Granfondo Brazil

The third edition of Granfondo Brazil moved to Timbo in the Southern Santa Catarina province.

In the men’s 120km qualifying race, the victory was decided in a tight sprint between 6 riders with Tales Jardel Soares winning after a tight photo finish sprint ahead of Leonardo Benedetti and Murilo Kozuchovski Ferreira.

The race was fast with short climbs and went full speed right from the start according to the later winner.

31-year-old Ana Carla Rocha da Silva managed to win the women race after a solo with a large 3m20 gap to Luiza Euzebio de Souza while Camilla Domingos finished third at 6m25.

In the older categories battling for qualification in the shorter 80km, the female win was for Anazelia M. Caldas while the men’s event as qualifying for all categories over 60 was won by Eduardo Santos Alonso.
