This weekend marks the 14th edition of the largest amateur cycling event in the Middle East, boasting 2000 riders ready to hit the pedals on a brand-new route through Dubai’s iconic landscapes.
The 94.1km course has been revamped for this year, starting and ending in Expo City Dubai. Commencing at 6:10 a.m. with the sunrise, riders will embark on a journey northeast towards the Global Village, looping through Emirates Hills and Jumeirah Lakes Towers before returning to the Expo City Dubai finish line.
Despite the changes, the essence of the race remains unaltered, featuring long, straight boulevards conducive to a flat and speedy competition, with just a few bridges to make the difference.
Known for its international flair, the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge attracts participants from over 80 different countries, underscoring its status as one of the most diverse events in the UCI Gran Fondo World series.
