The second edition of the only Spanish UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualifier relocated towards Castellon della Plana on a new 158.9km course with two major climbs in the middle part.

1593 riders from 35 different countries signed up. Former Giro winner Fabio Aru was one of the famous guests on the startlist.

Dutch Nick van der Lijke Zijlaard finished solo with an average speed of 38.2 km/h. The ex pro rider had a 1m37 gap towards his compatriot Pieter Frolichs with Spanish Alvaro Marza Martinez as third a few seconds later. The decision was made on the second climb of the day, the Coll de la Lloma.

French Gwenaelle Legendre won the female race getting away early in the race and finishing 6m15 before two Polish riders. Emilia Graban outsprinted Kateryna Kalashlinska for second place.
