The 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will be a Covid Safe event

The organizers of the Gran Fondo World Championships in Istocno Sarajevo have taken measurements to secure the safety of the riders during their stay and at the event in respect with Covid-19.

Every rider and their relatives / friends entering the country must show the following document when entering the country (either at the airport or at the border when travelling by car)

– A certificate showing a double vaccination of at least 14 days before entering the country

– A certificate showing a negative PCR test of maximum 48h for European citizens or 72h for non-European citizens.

– A certificate showing a negative Antigen test of maximum 24h

– A certificate of recovery of maximum 6 months old.

This certificate can either be shown in an app or on a printed document. All participants are also asked to fill in the attached form prior to arriving to save time : https://forms.gle/AAKWUbsbAZYBZvmt9

Bosnia and Herzegovina has at this moment a low infection rate compared to other European countries and is one of the few countries from where people can travel to the European Union.

The staff of the official hotels provided by the organizers and all crew members of the event will be tested daily with a PCR test and riders have to wear mask in the hotels, at registration and during the briefings. Riders can still register until October 3rd but are encouraged to sign up earlier to facilitate making up startlists for the time trial.

The organizers will also publish the riders’ guide one of these days with all technical information for the event.
