A new record of participants for Granfondo Vosges

After two difficult seasons because of Covid, most UCI Gran Fondo World Series events see their registration numbers again increasing with events sold out or breaking new records. Registrations often start up slow to then accelerate towards the event.

Granfondo Vosges was part of the series as qualifier for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships since last year and now scored a new record of participants with more than 2300 riders signing up for the qualifier distances.

The 178km granfondo is one of the longest events in the series and counts as the qualifying distance for all men 19-59 with 3500m of elevation. The race passes the following climbs : La Croix des Moinats (891m), Cols des Hayes (875m), col de Morbieux (791m), le Mont de Fourche (620m), Col de la Demoiselle, Pas de l’Ane, Haut du Tôt (863m), Col de la Grosse Pierre (954m) before entering the 9km towards the finish line in La Bresse-Hohneck (898m).

The mediofondo as qualifier for all women and men over 60 has 121km and 2700m of elevation.
