The first 15k were tough, going up from sea-level towards a platform varying between 400 and 600m above the sea to reach the turning point at km60. German Nadine Gill (19-34) took the overall female win in a time of 3h32min, 16 minutes before the runner-up Tota Magalhaes (19-34) and Bianca Beazim Julio (40-44). Gill finished in an average speed of 34 km/h
The overall winner in the male’s categories was Hudson Luidgi Leite Santos in a time of 3h10 to beat his compatriot Daniel Filgueiras Mendes in a sprint while Pedro Autran Dourado Dutra Nicacio completed the male podium a few seconds later. All three riders above competed in the 35-39 age group in an average speed of 37,9km/h.
The organizer is considering updating the course for next year’s edition and moving the event to a later date to avoid the heat.
