Cyprus Granfondo on new courses

600 riders from 31 different nationalities have registered to take part in the third edition of Cyprus Granfondo.

The time trial on Friday has the same course as in the previous two years with an up-and-down road starting in Niklokeia at almost sea level towards a turning point halfway the 28km at 300m above the sea before heading back to the finish.

The queen stage on Saturday starts in the city center of Pafos at the medieval castle for a 20km neutralized start towards Niklokeia where the real race begins. The 96km has a first half full of climbing towards an altitude of almost 1000m and shows all the best Cyprus can offer with very traditional small villages and nice scenic views. Finish is back near the coastline in the village of Kouklia. Total elevation of day 2 is 1600m.

Day 3 also has an updated course with start again in Pafos at the castle for a 14km neutralized start before hitting the hills for a short 54km stage and 1454m of elevation. This course is shorter but finishes in the hills.

The event has been sold out many weeks ago and has grown enormously compared to last year.
