The 94.8km flat and fast granfondo finished in a 4 men break at the end with British Simon Henley (M35-39) outsprinting his 3 opponents with Edgardo Tunay (PHI – M35-39) and Abdulrahman Salem (UAE – M19-34) finishing in second and third.
The four men stayed 25 seconds ahead of a larger 60 riders group with 13 women all sprinting for overall 5th place. Fastest female in that sprint was Egyptian Ebtissam Zayed (F19-34) who beated two Italians on the line with Carmela Cipriani (F19-34) and Aurora Mantovani (F19-34) in second and third. Remarkable was also that these three women all scored an overall top 10 ranking in the race.
More than 2000 riders had signed up for the weekend, a new great success.
