Bike Abu Dhabi Granfondo has been held for the first time in 2022 and will now join the UCI Gran Fondo World Series for its fifth edition in the lead up to the 2028 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, held on the same roads.

General

The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge was organized for the first time in 2010 and will enter its 15th edition. Who doesn’t want to ride a mass-participation event with Dubai’s iconic skyscrapers in the background, while having a wide open highway all to yourself?

What’s special about this event? Regular Build-Up Rides held at the Al Qudra Cycle Track in the desert helps riders increase their speed and stamina in the months leading up to the Main Event, which attracts more than 2,000 participants from across the globe.

Road race

The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge starts and finishes at Expo City Dubai. The course has a 2km neutral roll out to the official start and then passes a few of the iconic sights heading towards Global Village and Hessa Street before heading into town to Emirates Hills, DMCC and returning to Expo City Dubai. The Start is in different waves according to your expected speed and ability – a seeding process is in place.

Next to the Main Event, there is also a shorter 35km (non-official UCI qualifier) event.
