Nirvana Granfondo Antalya concludes 2024 with thrilling action

The fourth edition of the Nirvana Granfondo Antalya on the Turkish Riviera brought an exciting 2024 cycling season to a close.

Time Trial

Friday’s 20km time trial saw Norwegian Mathilde Bengtson claim victory in the women’s category with an impressive average speed of 43.78 km/h. Turkey’s Seniz Pamuk secured second place, and Marina Letaeva rounded out the podium, also winning her 45-49 age group.
In the men’s time trial, Dmitry Murshko from the 50-54 age group was the best, averaging 49.42 km/h. His compatriots Sergei Serdiuk and Danil Konotop finished second and third.

Granfondo

After a rest day, riders faced the challenging 98km granfondo on Sunday. Gokhun Uzuntas from Turkey outsprinted Danil Konotop to claim the overall win in a sprint with 4, with Dmitry Murashko and Belgian Jeroen Blondeel as third and fourth. Blondeel, who had launched a breakaway before halfway the race with the final 25km alone, was unfortunately caught 1.5km from the finish.

Daria Pravilova dominated the women’s race, averaging 39.87 km/h and securing a comfortable victory over Betül Ozkan. Martyna Wisniewska from Poland finished third.

Mediofondo

The 66km mediofondo, serving as a qualifier for men over 60 and women over 50, saw Belgian Kurt Leuntjens and Norwegian Sissel Kulseth Ostvold emerge as the respective category winners.
