2000 cyclists tackle the Dubai roads in LOOK UCI Gran Fondo

The 9th edition of the Dubai Granfondo took place last Friday with over 2000 riders at the start in the different waves and distances. Besides the local riders, we saw a lot of expats but also 230 participants from outside the UAE at the startline.

The race over 92km started with a little delay at 6.30am at the Dubai Autodrome for a flat and speedy race in the iconic city. Sam Stollery (GBR) proved to the fastest at the Autodrome as he outsprinted a pack of more than 30 riders to win the race before Erwan Sidaner (FRA) and 55-59 World Champion Patrick Cocquyt (BEL).

Fastest female over the same distance was local Samah Khaled who was faster on the line than Helle Bachofen von Echt (DEN) and Sarah Butler (GBR).
